ARE YOU DREAMING OF A BARN WEDDING ON THE ISLE OF WIGHT?
Our traditional stone barns are set overlooking the gardens of the listed Georgian farmhouse and make for a superb setting for a relaxed wedding. The barn’s fine, high vaulted ceiling with ancient exposed timbers create a great atmosphere, whilst French doors open to a large gravelled area where guests can mingle, with the large lawned formal garden beyond.
Exclusively for the use of the wedding, the garden is a great spot for children’s games, photographs and creating a picturesque setting.
There is also the option to hold your wedding ceremony at New Barn Farm in another stone barn as we now hold a license for civil marriage ceremonies and civil partnerships. Find out more about our Ceremony Barn.
The barn seats around 130 people and you can have up to 200 guests for an evening reception. In addition to the main wedding barn, and included within the package, is an adjacent stone barn with wood-burning stove and recently installed toilet facilities, along with a nearby preparation area, (fitted with sink, worktops and fridge) and ample car parking.
New Barn Farm is situated within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of rolling chalk downland a few miles from both the Island's northern and southern coastlines.

The Barn offers you the flexibility to create an individual wedding day unique to you. You can furnish and decorate the barn as you wish to achieve exactly the look and feel you want.
With this in mind, for a Saturday wedding the barn is available to you from midday on Thursday and needs to be cleared by 4pm on the Sunday, (hire items can be removed by 10am on Monday).

You will need to organise furnishing and decorating of the barn to your own taste. Our list of suppliers, who know our venue well, are but a few of those available on the Island. New Barn Farm do not provide any staffing.
Our appointed bar provider is The Events Co. They have a permanent bar installed in the wedding barn and they will organise the license and staffing for the bar. You are welcome to operate the bar as a free bar or a cash bar but the purchase and serving of drinks is handled by our bar provider.
You are welcome to arrange your own welcome drinks and/or wine with the meal or you can instruct The Events Co. to do this for you. However, from 6pm (or earlier by arrangement), the bar opens and any remaining alcohol will need to be cleared away. Last orders are at 11:30 pm.
