Conditions

Timings

For a Saturday wedding you are welcome to access the barn for preparations from midday on Thursday and we request the barn and garden is cleared by 4pm on Sunday with the exception of hire items which should be removed by 10am on Monday morning. On the wedding day itself ceremonies should start after midday and the venue should be vacated by midnight.

Bar Policy

For licencing reasons we request you use our nominated bar provider. Our bar provider organises licensing and as a minimum should be used from 6pm, (or is available earlier by request). You are welcome to provide welcome drinks and wine with the meal up to 6pm with no corkage fees. There shall be a minimum spend outlined in our terms and conditions.

Electrical loading

The electrical supply is adequate for typical usage of the barn for a wedding. However if you are going to require a significant additional loading then we recommend you seek advice from a qualified electrician in order to ascertain whether there is adequate loading for your needs or whether you need to hire a generator.

Children and Animals

Given the venue is not staffed it is the wedding organisers and their guests responsibility to ensure children are supervised. No animals are permitted except guide dogs, except by prior arrangement.

​Heating

Please note there is no heating in the barn although this is not normally deemed necessary in the summer months. Heaters can be hired for weddings taking place in the cooler months and are strongly advised for winter weddings to ensure everyone’s comfort.

​Music Policy

All music should cease by 11.45pm at the latest and should adhere to sound limits imposed by license conditions. We have the right to request music is turned down at our discretion.

​Fireworks and Chinese Lanterns

Due to livestock and neighbours we request no fireworks, lanterns or sparklers are used.

Taxis

It is essential for guests to pre-book taxis etc and it is advisable to do this prior to the wedding day. Uber is not available here! We request those organising weddings advise their guests of this when invitations or instructions are issued.

Force Majeur

If due to unforeseen circumstances the venue has to be closed for any reason, New Barn Farm will use its best endeavors to locate a similar alternative venue. Should this not be possible, or if preferred by the hirer, any deposit or fee paid will be refunded in full.
